Watershed Management
Plan

Responsible Planning for Present and Future Generations

The Watershed Management Plan (WMP) is a comprehensive approach to watershed planning. It allows for a detailed characterization of the watershed, sets goals for protection and improvement of watershed health, identifies projects to achieve these goals, evaluates projects and plans, and builds partners and community throughout. Furthermore, having an approved WMP allows communities in the WMP to be eligible for additional funding to complete identified projects. Below are the steps to create a comprehensive plan.
